Paolo Ghiringhelli is a dual British-Italian national with nearly two decades of experience supporting multinational companies in expanding into new markets.

Following his experience at the British Consulate General in Milan, where he facilitated Italian inward investment projects into the UK, Paolo joined a boutique strategy consulting firm in London where he developed sector-specific expertise in energy, waste management and the circular economy.

Today, Paolo holds multiple roles in these fields, including positions with a Sino-Italian waste-to-energy engineering and technology firm, and an Italian WEEE recycling company specialising in the recovery of materials from end-of-life photovoltaic (PV) panels.

He has a track record of building long-term, trust-based relationships across diverse public and private organisations. Paolo combines rigorous market analysis with strategic insight to leverage synergies, forge partnerships and bring complex international projects to life.

With a strong network across Italy and Europe, Paolo is now increasingly focused on the ASEAN region – particularly Malaysia, a country he first became enamoured with when visiting in 2014. Though based in Milan, Paolo returns ever more frequently as he sees Malaysia as a vibrant hub for sustainable development and cross-sector growth.
