Capt. Abul Nizam is a well-travelled, multi-disciplined operational lead and a Master Mariner by trade, with over 18 years of maritime service experience under his belt. He currently serves as Executive and Non-Executive Non-Independent Director of various early stage and growth companies, including as Corporate Representative of Bahtera Perkasa, primarily in energy, port, marine, aerospace and defense sectors. He had previously served top-tier multinationals including Exxon-Mobil, Shell Corporation, PETRONAS, Bumi Armada and Sapura Energy. Capt. Abul Nizam’s strong command and focus, drawn from years of leading a myriad of high-stakes and high-pressure projects ranging from global LNG logistics, offshore constructions, diving operations, offshore supply missions across Malaysia and Southeast Asia, adds to Bahtera Perkasa’s strong operations and programme management caliber. In addition to his extensive years in maritime logistics and services, Capt. Abul Nizam has built a competency in the greater maritime sector, encompassing imports and exports, trades policies and logistics supply chain as well as an affinity to defense sectors.

He is a genuine enthusiast and highly passionate in the complex mechanical nature of high-quality automotives, crafts and timepieces. Though he equally endears to the more complicated mind of future talents, preferring to spend his quality time in a more nurturing role with the family and local community.
