Dr. Fu is a highly passionate sustainability specialist with almost 10 years of international experience in agricultural and sustainable project design, planning, management and execution. He presently serves as Principal Agronomist for Farmony Sdn Bhd, a precision-agriculture company in Malaysia since Aug 2023 and as Agronomy and Ecology Consultant for Satok Bridge Digital, a Sarawak digital solutions company engaged in conservation projects in the state. He previously served various roles including Project Manager/Agronomist at Plant OS W.L.L (Bahrain). He also co-founded an Australian deep-tech startup, Has Algae Pty Ltd, specializing in micro-algae engineering solutions for carbon sequestration and sustainable food production. The company won the UAE FoodTech Challenge 2020.

Dr. Fu started his career as a Graduate Research Assistant for his alma matter, University of Queensland. He was the recipient of many academic awards including the highly competitive Australia Research Training Program Scholarship. He continues to actively contribute to academia at large and contributes publications on food security, agroecology and conservation.
