HRH Dr. Tengku Muhammad Faiz Petra is a thought leader, avid historian and cultural enthusiast, with an inherited dedication to the well-being, prosperity and sovereignty of the state of Kelantan Darul Naim. HRH is a member of the Kelantan royal family who served as the Crown Prince of the state of Kelantan from 2010 to 2024 and as Regent of Kelantan in 2016 to 2019 during his eldest brother, Sultan Muhammad V’s reign as the 15th Yang Di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia. HRH was appointed as First Admiral (Honorary) of the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) since 2013. HRH currently holds Chairmanships of various private companies including Matrix Reservoir Sdn Bhd, port operator of Tok Bali Supply Base, in addition to several companies invested by Bahtera Perkasa, and served as the Pro-Chancellor of Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) since 2022. He previously held the position of Chancellor of UMK in 2017 and President of Kelantan Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIK) from 2009 to 2019.

HRH Dr. Tengku Muhammed Faiz Petra received his PhD in History and Masters in Philosophy in Ancient History from the University College of London and holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from London School of Economics and Political Science, UK. HRH continues to be is actively involved in various charitable and non-profit organisations, especially in the state of Kelantan, together with his wife, Che Puan Sofie Louise Johansson Petra.
